Hey Joe, send you a PM. I have to add though most of that lucas stuff does have more lubricating properties than regular ATF. However it's thicker. This is not an old engine you tryin to bring oil pressure up in. Alot that goes on in your tranny is a timed event. Thicker oil will slow those events. A tranny is designed to slip one clutch pack off and slip another on. Normally this is ok until you slow this down and the clutches spend more time slipping possibly making the problem WORSE than using regular ATF and the tranny will fail sooner than if you had just left it alone.

Like I said in the PM, we can go pull it and at least get it apart to see what it will cost to rebuild. However, the longer you drive a failing trans the more $$$ you have to spend. There are wear items in a tranny that are cheap to replace but once you burn thru them your wearing into the really expensive stuff :-)

Back to its old tricks again i had don try and started it to circulate stuff alittle bit and what do you know it refused to start again they said they put a battery charger on it and it didnt charge or any thing but that shouldnt be the problem because i bout that battery no to long ago right after the alternator went out because at first ithought that was the problem so i actually replaced that first but i cant think of why it wouldnt start i thought that problem was fixed after duane clint and chad came up and we got that part this trucks really started to get on my nerves especially cuz im down here and cant try and fix it with all my free time

Well I got to 200000 and all is still good but the starter problem is gettin bad it does it almost everytime now and I did some research and narrowed it down to two problems. Either the flywheel is chipped and missing teeth or the overriding clutch in the starter is broke and not staying engaged and from what I've found its probably that which also explains the problem when it starts cuts off and fires again

If you have the money for a starter, I'd pull that first and see if that is the problem, because it is a much easier fix than the flywheel. Another option would be to pull the starter and spark plugs and turn the engine over by hand to check the teeth on the flywheel while the starter is out. That is a bunch of work, but could rule out the flywheel as a problem.

That is very possible, You might do some research on FTE, they may have your answer already.

Have you checked if there is a relay to the fuel pump that might be bad? If you don't have a Chiltons or manual for it, check at the library because they usually have them. There is probably a trouble shooting directive in there. If there is an ignition relay, see if another one is the same such as for the air conditioner or horn and swap them to see if that is the problem.

Do you have a check engine light showing? If you do have you pulled the codes?
